We are supplied monthly direct from Provence and we keep our Lavender air tight and in the dark here in the UK for
immediate next day delivery.
Lavender grows best at high altitude. The best growing areas in Provence have the "A.O.C." denomination, which guarantees the origin and the quality of the plant and/or the oil.
The lavender is then harvested in late July instead of August and the selected plants are either dried or used to distil the essential lavender oil. Chateau de la gabelle lavender is grown at 11oo meters above sea level on the slopes of Mt ventoux in haute de Provence.
